The state of Nevada has always been a hot spot, and not just in terms of weather. It is also a great vacation spot. Everyone knows all about Las Vegas and all there is to do there, but aside from the non-stop nightlife and consistent gambling opportunities lays the Nevada golf courses.
Nevada golf courses are everything but few and far between with 129 different golf courses to choose from within the state. However, choosing from the list of Nevada golf courses may not be too easy, with each one as beautiful and inviting as the next; it is a decision that requires careful deliberation. On the other hand, it is a vacation, so why just settle for one when a golfer can tee up at one of the different Nevada golf courses each day?
One of the finest Nevada golf courses is the Angel Park Golf Club located in Las Vegas. Angel Park Golf Club sits at an elevation of 3000 feet and contains breathtaking views of the Las Vegas Valley and Red Rock Canyon. The Angel Park Golf Club features a 36-hole championship course that was designed by one of the legends of the game, Arnold Palmer. Other attractions at the club include the Cloud Nine Short Course and the Putting Course, which happens to be the original natural grass course in the world. In the past twelve years, Angel Park Golf Club has been rated the best golf course in Las Vegas an astonishing eleven times! The pro shop also received recognition as one of the 100 best in all of the United States.
Another fine example of the premier offerings of Nevada golf courses is the Las Vegas GolfDragonRidge Country Club, which is only a twenty minute drive from the strip. The Las Vegas GolfDragonRidge Country Club is actually built out of the McCullough Mountains in Henderson. This Nevada golf course is a bit pricier than some of the other courses Nevada has to offer. However, if you want to play at the same spot where pro golfers such as John Riegger and Jeff Gallager tee up, then it is worth the extra cash. The Las Vegas GolfDragonRidge Country Club has some of the most beautiful landscaping also, with neatly trimmed fairways and lush bent-grass greens; the club could be considered heaven on earth to any golfer with a passion for the game.
Painted Desert Golf Course is another one of the Nevada golf courses that deserves recognition. The Painted Desert Golf Course was designed by Jay Morrish and was opened in 1987, making it one of the older Nevada golf courses. However, one should not let the age of the Painted Desert Golf Club discourage them. After all, this 18-hole, 73-par course was once the home to the Nevada open Golf Tournament. The Painted Desert Golf Course, which is surrounded by the Spring Mountains, is a challenging yet fun course. Both beginners and pros alike can enjoy an intense game of golf at the Painted Desert Golf Course.
The best thing about Nevada golf courses is location. What better way to relax during the day with a friendly spirited game on one of the Nevada golf courses before hitting up the town that never sleeps? Whether someone is a pro golfer or just someone looking to kick up a little grass on the green, Nevada golf courses are the way to go. Fore!
